day three: tuesday, november 21st

The project day started earlier than usual, at 9, with a hunt for screws. (right: empty screws) I went to two closed hardware stores, before I got to an open one. I also got a bus ride and a train ride in, so I'm really not complaining. I bought two types of screws (left) and went home. Upon arriving home, I spent my time trying to figure out how to wrap text around images with CSS, for these daily updates. I was not initally sucsessful, so I went upstairs to do some more building before dinner.

I got one L-support up on the wall (left) before realizing I probably assembled it wrong. I had cut the lumber with the idea that a little bit of overhang over the back would be good so that it could sit on top of the 2x3. However, I assembled the L-beams yesterday without this idea in mind, and realized the consequences. (right) That's pretty much all that happenened for the whole day, project-wise. In the evening, I finallly figured out how to wrap text around images. Yay! tomorrow, I need to get the rest of the L beams up and attach the plywood onto it.
